When I lift I get hungry all the time...especially late at night. Is it ok to eat a protein bar or a sandwich at say 1 or 2 in the morning right before bed?

I also wake up in the middle of the night and have made a habit of eating a banana or a protein bar...is this ok, bad?

depends on if your on a bulk or cut...if on a bulk this is very good...if on a cut not so good....

You can never go wrong with (most) protein bars.

When bulking I take in around 7-800 cals 5 minutes before bed and a 500calorie protein shake about 4 hours later when I wake to pee. When dieting I usually do the same just lower the calories alot. Eating late only has a slight effect versus total daily calories. I cant even imagine being hungry, i'm looking forward to that feeling soon.

Eating at night is fine, and is in fact recommended.
