steroids?

at the moment at school i am doing an assignement on the effects of steroids and why people take them....
i was just wodnering what is the most commonly used steroid type and insertion method, what the side effects are (not the over dramatised ones you hear about in the media) and peoples reasons for taking them..

i would greatly appreciate if you could help me out..

Anyways, your report shouldn't be a bunch of crap you get from a newspaper, so I am somewhat willing to help. Though, since you mentioned overdramatisation, you seem to know something about them already. That or you've just got an open mind when it comes to drugs.

I would say that the most POPULAR steroid is Deca-durabolin, even though it is not exactly the most logical choice for a first time or long-duration cycle. The preferred insertion method for any type of anabolic, for maximum effectiveness, is intra muscular injection. Thats where you use a needle and put it into the belly of a muscle instead of intraveinous, where it is inserted in a vein. In fact, injecting oil based steroids into a vein causes a lot of problems. Pill form is often used by less experienced and those less dedicated to the art of steroid doping. Tablets are easy to swallow but steroids in pill form are highly, highly liver toxic because of their chemical makeup that makes them effective in oral form.

I'll give my personal input.


My steroid of choice is testosterone via intramuscular injection.

Side effects I've experienced are hair growth, hyper active libido, mood swings (probably being the most severe side effect), oh and it made me grow muscle too :eek:

My most major side effect has been my lady's lack of sleep. She keeps waking up because i'm poking her in the leg!
