Do any of you get a upset stomach when you take your flax oil?

I take mine without food and chase it with Oj or some juice and I feel like vomiting 15 mins later.

Whats the deal?

I never had a problem with it. How much are you taking?

Maki:

You should not take the flax seed oil orally. I know the feeling you are talking about. I had the same problem back in 90' while training for a regional championship. The problem was alleviated by adding the flax seed oil to my food. For example, mix it in your oatmeal or add it to your protein drinks. Additionally, flax seed oil is best used cold, not heated. Canola oil is preferred when you need to heat the oil up to a high temperature.

Hope all is well!

I used to use Flax Seed Oil in my shakes and had no problem with my stomach. In my opinion the reason you don't feel well is because you're mixing oil with a citric acid(the orange juice)Perhaps find a different way to take your Flax oil.May I suggest mixing a table spoon or 2 in your shakes;)

LOL @ powerman

maki, it's probably best to take any oil with some solid food. I take 2 tbsp. of flax every day with meals and don't have a problem, other than it tastes more like ass every time.

right...however combining it with OJ in your stomach just doesn't seem right. anyways, i always top my cottage cheese in the morning with it.

incidentally...after trying several different brands...arrowhead mills ROCKS.
