hey guys im 20 5'9-5'10 160lb trying to burn this much hated fat on my chest, and i guess all over, while also lifting
my split:
Mon:chest/back
Tue:cardio
wed:bi/tri
thu:cardio
fri:shoulders/legs
sat:cardio
sun:rest

daily diet:
morning: Go lean crunchcereal + milk + half scoop of whey + banana
snack two hours later: costco protein bar
lunch: 2 whole eggs + 2 egg whites + 2 slices of whole wheat bread
workout/cardio
post workout: protein shake with milk + apple
dinner: chicken breast + broccoli + brown rice
pre-sleep: ff yogurt + ff cottage cheese + berries

i think this is around 1800ish calories with lots of protein
am i lacking in anything? carbs?fat?
should i be changing anything in my diet?

i take a multivitamin + 2caps of fishoil in the morning
and wheatgrass with lunch
and will snack on beef jerky or nuts when hungry
while drinking water all day

is this a good diet where i can burn my man boobs off that ive had for years
while still at least building some kind of lean muscle???

any help,tips,advice is greatly appreciated!!

I'm too lazy to actually do the macro breakdowns myself, but it looks like you're not getting much fat, especially not EFAs as 2g in the morning doesn't cut it.

Only going by measurements it's tough to know what you look like, but my advice based on the numbers alone is that you should be bulking, not cutting.

Dirt's right as well, you also need more fat in that diet.

You want the calories from fat to account for 20-30% of your total calories.

You might want to try upping your calories to 2000 to start. At 160lbs and cutting I don't think you have much muscle mass, so it is probably a good idea to do a very slow cut. This way it might be possible to make some gains. If you cut cals too low, you will lose alot of muscle. Goodluck and just stay consistent.

wow this is an old thread!

this is my current plan:

M1: 1cup oatmeal + 1 scoop whey
M2: 5 eggs 1 yolk + 2 pieces ww bread (pre workout)
M3: protein shake + dextrose (after workout)
M4: salad w/ 2tbsp each vinegar + olive oil
chicken + 1 cup brown rice + 1 cup brocolli
M5: 1 cup cc + 2 tbsp natty pb

around 2300 cals, 204 g protein, 200 g carb, 71g fat
i feel like i need another meal in there, but not sure what and when

im thinking about maybe using a yolk for M2 for more fat since it looks like i need some more, and maybe only having 1 piece of bread?
and then also have OJ with that meal

any suggestions on how to reduce some carbs and add more fat? maybe with another meal somewhere?

How about some avocado in your salad, or some nuts in your salad maybe?

I'm rather fond of cc with chopped up apple and either PB or a handful of raw almonds/walnuts/pecans.

Don't bother with the OJ. Eat an apple instead, smear some natty PB on it for the fat. Plus, it's yummy.
