I need to up my protein and decrease my carbohydrates...can anyone give me some ideas? Maybe increase fiber as well.

meal 1 -
1 whole egg
4 egg whites
8 oz. milk
100g broccoli
1/4 cup mixed peppers
1 slice cheese

42g pro/16g fat/20g carb

meal 2 -
1 can albacore tuna
1 tbsp light mayo
2 slices low-carb bread or sweet potato (alternative??)
2g fish oil
100g lettuce

41.5g pro/12.5g fat/28g carb

meal 3 -
3 slices turkey/ham
3 oz. mussels
100g lettuce
2g fish oil

36g pro/7.5g fat/9g carb

meal 4 -
150g chicken breast
100-200g lettuce
100g green beans
2 tbsp fat free ranch
2g fish oil
1 tsp olive oil

35g pro/8g fat/19g carb

Want to decrease carbs in either meal 1 or 2.

Upping protein is easy. Add more egg whites, have 2 cans of tuna instead of 1, 200g chicken instead of 150g...

In meal 1, drop the peppers.

In meal 2, make a salad out of the tuna and skip the bread/yam. Salad = lettuce, olive oil and vinegar instead of mayo, and the tuna.

Why protein and not fat?

The only problem I had with turning the tuna meal into a salad, was that it was a salad. Thanks for the suggestion, probably will end up doing that. But if anyone else has any other ideas? Anyone else done the UD2? Gal?

Gimp, because thats how I'm setting up this diet and how its supposed to be.

While the emphasis of the low carb/low cal days is not ketosis, I just wanted to point out that protein can kick you out of ketosis via gluconeogensis, whereas fat cannot.

He's not eating that much protein though. He's over 200lbs (as far as I know) and he's only eating about 150g.

ditch that milk in meal 1 and just have water or a small protein shake. 8oz of milk has like 12g of sugar I think...
