My bulk is $70-$100 CAD a week, which isn't TOO bad considering it's 5000 cals a day.

Mind you, the week where I run out of rice and beef can go up to $120, but then again some weeks I find the bill is a mere $60 so I guess it events out.

Gotta love Loblaws :D

dan your right that the bulk places aren't ALWAYS the cheapest...but buying in bulk overall saves a lot of money...and the sale prices of grocery stores are only comparable to the regular prices of bulk stores such as costco, sams club, etc....

If its a food like instant oatmeal that doesn't have an expire date, buy 6 months worth when its cheap.

i have compared the price of several things that are available in bulk at sams(i don't have a costco around) with sales at meijers and kroger. if you watch the sales, you can almost everything(chicken, beef, veggies, etc.) considerably cheaper. like adam said, when something goes on sale stock up. get a nice size freezer and stock it up when things go on sale
