View Full Version : Increased food intake and intense workout

Suppose I have a very very intense workout (last night, chest). Would there be any benefit from eating more food than usual. My thinking is that if I ate more healthy, clean food, than I will be feeding more nutrients to the torn muscle fibres and in essence helping to promote larger growth.

Any fact in this thought?

You can only grow so much in a given period of time. You should already be eating enough daily to maximize this, therefore any extra intake would be useless...unless you like gaining fat as well.
