As i've been learning more and more about nutrition i keep reading that there are a huge amount of vitamins in liver. So I am planning on cooking some up later this week to see if i can imcorporate it into my diet, does anybody have good recipes for liver?

I just fried up a 1/2lb of it, ughh. It is not the taste so much as the texture. I've had liver before as a child, so i'm used to it. Why is it unhealthy??

I think he means that the recipes he has are not healthy.

lol yeah i meant the recipe. here is it:
cook about 4 pieces of bacon in a skillet. Remove bacon. Cover liver in flour and cook in bacon grease. then return the bacon to the pan with onions and a can of beef gravy.

At the place I work, we sell tons of beef liver.
I inquired to a few people there how they
Most said they cook it very thin until crisp
almost like bacon strips. Then they have it
with either gravy or lots of mustard and onion to take
away the strong taste.
From my experience, if it's cooked too thick,
it has that terrible barnyard taste.
A oldtimer also said that he diced the liver
up and cooked it in a pot with rice and onions.
I'v always questioned the eating of liver because
of the fact that it is responsible for clearing the cow's
blood of drugs and other poisonous substances.
It also removes bacteria from the bloodstream and also
produces bile to carry away waste and break down fats.
Would the liver that you buy then also have these toxins
present in it?
