Im in the military and sometimes i need to stand guard duty where im up for at least 24 hrs straight. I was curious if i should continue eating every 2-3 hrs like normal, or cut it off like i was sleeping. Should I eat the cals for my normal 14 or so hrs awake time or should i double it since im up double the time?

If your awake, eat as you would when your awake.

You still use energy when you're asleep and your daily caloric intake reflects this, so doubling the amount of food you eat isn't exactly what you should do. Just increase your calories to account for the additional energy you'll be expending by being awake and active instead of asleep. Since you're going to be active instead of simply trying to prevent catabolism with slow-digesting fat/protein, adding some carbs would be a good place to start.
