true/false

1 Eating anything at all just before a workout is evil. Especially fats. High Gi foods prior to working out does not improve performance since a high insulin level doesn`t.

2 Milk slows down the absorption of protein in your post workout shake, this is why water is better (even than fat free milk)

3 Gains made because of creatine use will fall back down as soon as you go off creatine just like some of the weight you gained

how 'bad off' will you be by having milk w/your protein? i hadnt heard this before and have always had milk w/mine just for the taste and to get some extra protein.

post workout i generally have about 33g (scoop and a half) of optimum whey, 2 bananas, and a cup of oatmeal in about 16oz of skim milk.

I think you should only have a banana (and the oatmeal as well).Just to limit simple sugars intake and overall calories as well.

Gains in terms of weight, usually, because of water loss. But not in terms of strength IF you keep training and progressing.

but i also heard you will be using energy for digestion instead of lifting and when you dead or squat youll feel like ur gonna burst or throw up when you ate before lifting

Bullshit.

I eat before every workout and I'm not having too much trouble.

You are too concerned with the little things in life. At your age and present development you could eat about anything and be alright. Just eat healthy, and lots of it.:)

I eat anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour before.

As long as you don't gorge yourself, it won't be a problem.

I just drink a bit of milk before getting changed and going into the gym. then finish when i leave.
IF its not getting absorbed then its helping me recover quicker after training session. though i have like 400mls of milk.
if leg press you do not want lots of food as it will bloat you.

find out what bloat you by trying it. the milk before trianing has been stable for me for about 1 year so used to it.
