I read an article about conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) that said it melts away fat while boosting muscle mass. It also is supposed to fight cancer.

Its available as a supplement and I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with it and what they had to say about it.

Here's the link to one of the sites I read about it on.

Just another thing to add, I found out about it by reading the new Men's Health magazine. They have an interview with Ryan Reynolds and how he got in shape for his role in Blade: Trinity. He gained 20 pounds of muscle and lost a third of his body fat.

Just commenting, men's health magazines aren't the most reliable sources of information. The general consensus is that all that is really needed to workout is protein, calories , maybe whey powder, maybe creatine.

CLA does those things in rats. There are no studies in humans to support such a claim, and if there were, the dosage that a human subject would need is at least twice that of a rat subject. Due to the dosage needed, the minor effect, and the price of the supplement, it is not really worth it. Just diet correctly.
