I remember reading somewhere that creatine powder is not stable is some liquids. Im not sure if I should mix it in water, juice, or milk. Any suggestions?

I don't think it really matters, but I'd say water.

I would have guessed water too, but I do believe reading a thread that said that creatine serum was a waste becuase it contains water. And, that when creatine monohydrate and water combine they create just creatine which is a waste product. But that totally didn't make sense to me so I figured I'd ask just to make sure.

creatine starts to break down as soon as you mix it

the serum sits on the shelf for months to years

bottome line...get it with some carbs and try to drink it within an hour or immediatley if possible

Why take it with carbs?

to create an insulin response which encourages your muscle cells to absorb it

Take it with koolaid b/c that has a lot of sugar and sugar makes the creatine absorb into ur muscles a lot better, so u use more and waste less

I don't know about the carbs or the koolaid. But I believe water would be the best. What creatine monohydrate does when it hits water is start to break down into creatinine (thats what you meant by the waste product). It doesn't start until about 20 minutes of being in contact with water or any other liquid. I assume you are using powder to just put it in water and then take it immediately. Also make sure it is an hour before you workout. And right after you take it in 2.5 hours the creatine will start to turn into creatinine and start to be excreted.

Take it with some dextrose, or you next best option is some powerade powder.
