hi guys, i just got porlab pro whey supplement. it has 22 grams of protein per serving(1 scoop). it recommends taking 2 servings per day. now 2 servings would equal 44 grams of protein. i was wondering what if it is a good idea to use 2 scoops for each serving making it 88 grams of protein. with milk it will give me around 100 grams!

you should get most of your protein from solid food. if you can't, for some reason, get enough protein from solid food, then use the shakes. but if you are getting plenty of protien from solid foods, then you don't need to use two scoops, or use it twice a day

It's not going to hurt, but it will probably be a waste of money. I'd be more interested in calories.

I agree with Admiral Dan

You DO want to get most of your protein from whole foods. But keep in mind sometimes this can be tough. You want to at least 1g per pound, and if possible 1.5 grams. If you're not reaching your goal with whole foods reach it with whey powder, it wont de bad for you. Just make sure to supplement your diet with it, not build your diet around it.
