Do you just cook them the way they recommend on the box? I've been doing mine on the stove and then I put some dark brown sugar on top for flavoring. Is that a good idea, I know too much sugar is a no-no, but how much is too much?

I remove them from the tube. Place in bowl. Pour water over them. Eat raw oat soup :)

Should be put in the recipee forum. Alot of people put splenda in it. You could also put a *little* bit of fruits in it like berries. You can also buy spices and extracts to put in it, stuff like cinamon, vanilla extract, etc.
Also, you can just eat them dry :D it's easier than it sounds.

Plain - raw or cooked in microwave

Dump them in a plastic bowl with water, Splenda and cinnamon. Nuke it for 1 minute (old fashioned oats). Stir. Eat.

they get much creamier if you nuke them for about 5 mins on half power in the microwave. If they soak up all the water, just add a little more halfway through and stir in. Top it with some sugar free maple syrup. MMM... oats :)

rather than adding flavours, buy an oatmeal that just tastes good

if you can find McCann's Irish Steel Cut Oatmeal, try it... it's little pellets of oats as opposed to the flat 'rolled oat' flakes you typically see from Quaker. Nuttier, pleasant flavour and a little more nutritious as well

I put them in a cup raw with about 2 servings of peanuts and eat it all by the handful. Tastes pretty good.

Nuts, oats and honey mixed together w/o heating it up, it's like a ghetto granola bar.

I just use old-fashioned Quaker oats and mix it with some wheat germ... gives it some more taste.

put my quaker oats in a bowl, use the 190 faucet, put in microwave for about 35seconds, then mix some peanut butter in it
