I am going to try a diet similar to this one (http://www.wannabebigforums.com/showthread.php?t=1285&highlight=5000+calories) and was wondering what kind of flax is needed. I went and picked up a bag of flax seed, is this what I need or is it flax seed oil I need.

any is fine. fish body oil is better. but if you're going for tbsp of flax, there's more omegas in the oil than in the raw seeds

Flax seeds have a tough outer shell that renders them indigestible. They need to be ground in order to get the benefits of the EFAs they contain.
Like jazer80 says fish oil would be a superior source of EFAs but if you want to stick with flax I'd recommend going for oil.

use the oil. You would have to eat a ton of seeds to get the benifet of 1 tablespoon of flax oil.

Thanks for the reply all. I went out again and got the flaxseed oil. Twice now I've added it to my milk and whey and it's gross. I'm going to take it straight from now on with a chaser.

straight is ballsy. i put it in my morning shakes, and combine it w/ so many ingredients you can't even tell what the hell it tastes like. lots of ice helps

I mix it in with my prebed casein shake that's chocolate flavoured. It masks the taste rather well.

Cmon. You shoot liquor. Shoot the oil. Shoot it all!
