all right diet was a little off today.
wont post it.
TOmorrow i am going to work out a fixed diet with enough calories and carbs. I just bought some meal replacement bars...The problem i have is that i dont have enough time to make all the meals that i need when i am at work.
I am going to look into maybe getting a meal replacemtn product or a weight gainer.
as long as my diet is realtively clean i should be able to minimize the fat gain.
checking a few things out today
tomorrow is chest and back and i am gonna rip that **** up just like i did the legs today.

briancurran01
03-10-2005, 06:52 PM
lol. I will let you guys know D. But it isnt until saturday.
If you want to gain, you're going to need 4500-4800 cals a day. Definitely should be at least 4000, but probably not a good idea to jump right up there. Get your cals up gradually. Maybe add 500 per week until you're gaining a pound a week.
galileo
03-10-2005, 07:14 PM
I'd keep it to 3500 for now, your metabolism can't be all that great after PSMF. Slowly raise it up, like 200/week.

uuuhhhh..couldn't you be accused of adultury if you "freak dem hoes" while still legally married? It's not a change I'd be willing to take if I were you. Staying out of the limelight, and out of the scrutiny of watchful eyes (her friends and family) is what you need to concentrate on until things are final. You don't want her coming up with a story about you having something on the side when it never existed, only to lose what little you'll manage to keep in this divorce.

Great lookin leg session Bri. I seem to recall from earlier journals that you had some pretty serious knee issues. Seems like teh liftin has helped them greatly. I have a similar problem except with my back. My doctor has told me for years that if I strengthen the core muscles around my spine that it would allevite a lot of my problems. It worked for me and I see it is working for you. Unfortunately for me my lazy ass has slipped back into the trouble area. Great job and keep it up. :whip:

Wheels found here (http://www.wannabebigforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=14826)
As my native colleague would say "Cheh bro. Got some big calves there, au!"
Which translated means, wow Bri. Your calves are somewhat on the large side. Bigger than your thighs almost! Or is the angle of the photo?
And I do wonder about the ladies boots in the background - you'll never fit those :)
briancurran01

Damn dude your strength is coming up quick.
My absolute best advice to you is this:
Never ever sacrifice form for ego lifting. DOing an exercise with the right weight and perfect form is so much more effective. I wish I had been doing atf squats all along.
Now that the principle has been applied elsewhere results are amazing.
I am not doubting your efforts in any way. Sometimes form just moves to the back of the mind. You have every reason to be damn proud of yourself.
Throw some midgets in the hAet furnace for me and go kick some ass.

Josh: thanks man..Thanks for the advice...I can use all the advice I can get from anyone here. Form is why I am moving so slow on the deads especially. I need to watch the form on the rows...I am still testing alot of my limits to see what i can do. I will always remember to cehck the ego at the door...it is not all about how much you lift...It is about lifting CORRECTLY.
LOL about the midgets in the hAet furnace...on that thought (midgets) a few years ago there was this midget named jerry that worked at taco bell, he was a wannabe gangsta midget...with the gang signs and all that jazz...I remember he wanted to fight me one time LOL...me and my friend Mike how was like 6'5 and BIG (not built fat) we used to call Mike Mugsy because he looked like the mugsy character from Looney tunes...but anyways your reference to midget made me think about that lil midget jerry that wanted to kick my ass lol.

That must be a real curse, having a packed gym. It wouldn't be so bad if they were all dedicated and happy to work in with The Dawg TM, but I'm guessing that like any gym it's a mix of part-timers and regulars? And it's the part-timers who do most of the bitching and whining.

This is the idea I had with regards to bulking/cutting : bulk until the clothes you currently fit don't, then cut back down. Repeat.
At this stage that's what I am planning, basically because I'm enjoying my bulk. I'm not eating particularly cleanly and it's going to bite my ass, so when my pants get too tight (and I refuse to buy more) I'll cut back down to somewhere around the size I was before I started bulking.

In my opinion I would cut the bodyfat. See what you got underneath and then start the bulk. Eat clean foods. High Protein, low fat, healthy carbs.

I just looked at you diet and it doesn't look too bad but I'd add in some brown rice or yams. Turkey or chicken instead of steak. Oatmeal in the morning possibly. Have you tried the oatmeal pancake? What exactly are you eating? Your posted diet doesn't consist of too much for a bulk.

kiwi: thanks br
mc: lol i diverged a little from the posted diet...I ate kind of healthy for a while but when i got stressed it wasnt pretty thanks for the advice.
I have not tried the oatmeal pancake.
I think i will probably cut but not something as brutal as psmf i think i will do something like galielo had me on before I will have to plan it out...i cant go with no carbs it is too brutal

From your pictures you seem to have a pretty good muscle base already, If you want to be ripped I would cut to 8-10% then take a week off to organize your bulking diet/routine and let your muscles/CNS recover, then bulk like a madman. I know 8-10% seems low and very difficult, but with your dedication I know you can do it.

Brian, make sure you aren't diving into a deficit. Slowly take it down to make sure that you body slowly adjusts and doesn't go into starvation mode. If you did, good job, but if you didn't, something to consider. Good luck on the cut!

ok i think i cut my calories too fast i feel like crud...having some of the same problems that i had before on the psmf...i dont know what calories i should set this to but the psmf wont work for me at this point. i think it is the low blood sugar that does this to me...so please someone who reads this give me some advice...on how i should set the cals...what i am at now is too low...and i am going to eat more then what is posted so i feel somewhat better...will keep it clean...
If i dont get any advice i will just stay at maintenance or slightly below and see what happens

all right...i have decided...I am bulking and i will be making a new journal.
@ thins i asked myself tonight.
1. why was i so successful cutting?
answer: because i focused and didnt let **** interfere with my goals...i am not doing that now and i will start
2. why do i always look to blame other people?
answer: because i am insecure...i always look for other people to get me straight. I need to take responibility for me..no one else should be held accountable only i should be accountable for me..
so a new journal...starting now and the last one i hope :)

Way to go man. I'm glad that YOU have made this decision. I'm glad that you have asked and answered yourself about apportioning blame, that's a real big step in doing this for yourself.
Be sure to keep asking for advice from those that have gone before you, just bear in mind that's all it is and it's up to you to use that advice how you see fit.
So, time to bulk. I'm with you on this on. There are compelling arguements either way, but I have a gut feeling that this is the right thing to do. Funny, we both seem to end up doing the same thing at the same time!
I wonder then if you are interested in a little comparison from time to time (not a competition)? That is, we both post our stats and each fortnight/month post gains (hopefully no losses!) and compare how we are doing?

sure comparing would be cool...since we are so similar in size
