So dreading doing my taxes I gathered all of my important documents and went to turbotax.com I knew I was elligable to file a 1040A so I clicked the link and started answering questions that so confused that I called a local tax service. Next I packed up my papers and drove 4 blocks down to their office and 30 mins later I paid them $136. Now I was shocked at the cost...untill they showed me my refund! Last year was the first time I ever recieved a state and federal refund...granted it was only around $300 and my mom did my taxes since I was a full time college student.
So back to my refund...I figured I would be lucky if I got $500-$700. My refund was much larger and today I love the federal government and am planning a trip to Tiffany & Company to invest in precious metals :)

My taxes cost me $15 and I likely got the maximum possible refund. If you qualify for the EZ it should be...easy, no?

I kicked a$$ as well. The sweet beauty of paying the single rate tax while being married, and reaping the benefits of not only that at return time, but paying mostly interst on a home throughout the year makes it all worthwhile, no?
Unfortunately we've been careless with the plastic, and with the exception of a squat rack and something for her, it all goes to bills and long-term peace of mind.

I did my taxes online for free and am getting $800 back between Fed and State. This is my biggest refund ever. It's going right into savings for a rainy day.

$136 to file seems like alot. There are lot free fed sites now, they removed the age and income restrictions. I've never used to turbo tax but even that would be cheaper. Taxes are pretty much follow the directions, unless you got lots of extras. But if all you got is students loans, some interestest, ect its pretty easy
