Uh, your body needs carbs. Don't be afraid of them.

Just go to any Atkins support site. Here's one:

http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/15-464579.html

Basically, if it's starchy or sweet, don't eat it.

Stick to leaves and animal products - no flour, no breading. No fruit or starchy vegetables.

Go to www.fitday.com and enter a food to see how you're doing.

Are you trying for ketogenic dieting? Make sure you keep your fats high (40-65% or even higher of total calories) or you risk going into a protein oxidative state (frying muscle))

There are times when it's beneficial to go very low in carbs, Cyn. I lost 30 pounds and kept it of by starting with ketogenic dieting.

Now, if we're talking bodybuilding, yes, you'll need some strategic carbs, but for fat loss, keto can be the bomb for some people. It sure was for me.

I'm not saying that a ketogenic diet can't be a path to successful weight loss. However, like ultra-low-fat diets, they aren't sustainable/optimal in the long term.

True, he never said anything about eating low-carb forever though.

Exactly what I was thinking Vito.

All diets work - for a while. That's why all diets fail.

a sound, healthy, balanced diet will work indefinitely

I lost 83lbs over a 18 month period using the same diet with a slight reduction in cals (twice) as I got lighter

If you can't make a list of low carb foods on your own, I don't think you should be ****ing around with keto. Just my opinion. :)
