How far back will eating a bag of pretzels set me? Tonight I was craving them and they were there in my closet so I ate them... They have zero fat but they put me about 1000 calories or more over what I should have had... I did some cardio to make up for it(I ran half a mile). Right when I was starting to see results in my abs too. :(

It's not going to set you back, unless you eat them every night. Consider it a cheat meal and stop worrying about it.

Don't worry about it, but next time you try to "make up for it" remember that it's a lot easier to pack calories away via eating than it is burn them off. That half-mile run might have burned 1/10 of those calories if you're lucky.

It's not the bag of pretzels, it's the combination of things that you've eaten throughout the day. One big transgression is a lot better than numerous medium transgressions.

It's not the cheating that matters, its your attitude that makes the difference.

You ate 1000 calories in pretzels? Holy sh*t. You're gonna need to run a lot further than that to burn those calories. However, since it's only one meal, don't sweat it.
