I will be starting a GVT routine tomorrow. I have been doing a 5 day split for about a year now, and want to try something new. I've searched around and it just seems to be the same two articles everywhere.

I am posting to see if anyone has anything interesting or worthwile to add, personal experiences or suggestions. I've got the basics of the routine down, i'll be starting a journal to track progress, and i'm really looking forward to trying something different and aparently challanging.
I dont think that overtraining will be a problem as the 5 days split we (my training partner and I) used for the past year has on occasion gotten near to 10 sets, thought spread over different excercises. I will as the article suggests do the beginner design for 6 weeks then change it up slightly and maybe try the other techniques he mentions. The journal will tell all i guess.
Let me know of any personal experiences you have with this training style.
