I currently buy my Whey at Walmart but I think online would be cheaper and better. And I don't think any local stores around here carry Dextrose, so I just wanted to know where you guys buy your whey and dextrose? What is the cheapest place to order it?

I get dextrose and maltodextrin at a beer and wine making supply store.
Dextrose is sold as dextrose, but maltodextrin is often sold as "Brew Body" - kind of a thickener for beer.

Dextrose is also corn sugar I believe.

Built, I don't think my parents are going to take me to a beer/wine store. I'm Mormon, and we don't drink beer/wine and that stuff. Even though I wouldn't be buying beer there (only the dextrose), my parents just wouldn't take me there.
Do you know of any other place I could get dextrose?

LOL!
I didn't actually mean a beer and wine store, just the places that sell the supplies!
Sometimes grocery stores have them in one of the aisles. Superstore here in BC carries dextrose.
I can appreciate the awkward situation though!

Pruneman, I went to the dextrose link, and found that one dextrose serving has only 4g of sugar. How many servings of that should I use? Because 4g of sugar doesn't seem like much.

I have a food scale, and I weighed out a quarter cup, level, at just about 40g for dextrose.

So, is it just power or something? And if I take 2 scoops of whey, that's 40g protein, and I should take 10 servings of dextrose (40g) and combine all that to make a super shake...and perhaps try what you're doing Built and take half before and half after?

It is just powder. It looks like finely granulated sugar.
You'll have to decide how much you want to consume. I like 1:1 with protein, some like 1 protein:2 dextrose.

ya dextrose is nice cuz it adds a slightly sweeter taste to the shake...for the 1/4 cup of it i put in PWO it doesn't have the sweetening power of say, table sugar, which is good....46 g protein ~50 g dex and 5 g creatine in water for my PWO shake....some like built said like the 2:1 dex:protein ratio, i personally choose the 1:1 dex:protein...

No law stating you can only take 1 serving.

I know; I was just asking how much sugar I should take. It looks like the others have answered the question though.

Alright, I'm sort of confused on which of these whey proteins to get.
whey: http://proteinfactory.com/store/advanced_search_result.php?osCsid=c32548ddc7d424f66dfa78e1f6b35c9e&keywords=whey
more whey: http://www.1fast400.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=whey&categories_id=&inc_subcat=1&manufacturers_id=&pfrom=&pto=&dfrom=&dto=&x=0&y=0
Which one out of those two lists is the best whey to order? I don't understand why there are so many to choose from. -_-

Help anyone? Reel and Malkore, I checked out the sites but again I don't know which one to get. -_- Does it really matter? Should I just get the cheapest one?

Well i wouldn't just get it cause its the cheapest because it may be cheap quality. Go with Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey, they are affordable and good quality and have many flavors.

trueprotein.com is top quality protein. they just don't spend millions marketing it, so they don't have to charge $10 a pound for plain whey. I've heard lots of good stuff about ON brand also, but have never tried it.

Ever been to a grocery store with different brands of the same product?

Just pick one and try it out. The differences are most likely miniscule. To quote Mr. Stagg: Squats work better than supplements.

ive seen 50 lb sacks of whey on ebay for about $100, no flavorings or perservatives though. I was thinking of buying a sack and spliting it with some friends.
I think you should stick with unflavored protein. it's much cheaper.. i am still undecided which to try supplementdirect or trueprotein...The latter looks better (nutritional facts) but never ordered there before.
maybe someone can add any feedback...
