I have not taken any time off from the gym these past 8 months. I recently started cutting and want to take a week off but was wondering if this would aid in more muscle loss. I do cardio before my first meal 3 times a week and plan on continuing with that and just won't train with weights. Do you think it will affect me much or is this all in my head? Should I keep my diet the same throughout this period? Any information is appreciated. Thanks

i would recommend taking a week off at least, maybe even 2. Doing this periodically eliminates overtraining. Its not gonna hurt you in the long run. As long as you eat decent you wont lose any muscle in a week to be worth worrying. Still keep taking protein, just cut your cals back some, say 500 or so because you aren't as active. I have heard that ppl can actually gain mass during time off because they recover from being overtrained.

Alright well my maitenance calories is 2544 so that's what I will do. Thanks vido.

haha, I know it isn't exact Ryuage but I was always told to multiply my bodyweight times 12 and that was what my maitenance calories came out to be.
