I changed my mind for a few reasons

But as they say actions speak louder then words so I will have to show ya'll.

I changed my mind again...i think i have to much fat and want to cut...so the cut will start tomorrow

will lower calories down to 2500...then go from there...will be doing full body workouts 3 times a week...i want to cut down to 200-210 then bulk because then i will have more leeway to bulk...since i started the bulk early i did not get down as low as i wanted to.

briancurran01
04-04-2005, 09:25 AM
plus another factor in the cutting decision is my blood sugar...it is a little higher then i like...and i have always been able to control it better when cutting

briancurran01
04-04-2005, 03:58 PM
split will look like this

tuesday-full body workout/cardio
wednesday-cardio
thursday-full body workout/cardio
friday-cardio
saturday off day
sunday-full body workout/cardio

also going to look at getting a thermogenic to assist with the weight loss not sure which one...but will start looking tonight

Well, it's a shame losing you to The Cut, Dawg, but good luck with it. I do agree that cutting down then bulking is a great to allow for a longer bulk.

I'm quite interested to see what thermo you go with and why, 'cause I'll be looking at cutting myself eventually...

briancurran01
04-04-2005, 05:07 PM
kiwi: cutting isnt that bad...at least i will not stop this time till i have abs :). I am not sure what thermo i will try maybe the at large product...have to make sure it wont interfere with anything else i am taking for my diabetes..the blood sugar is the biggest reason why i am cutting again...thanks for the well wishes...I will give myself some carbs before workouts since i can still go pretty intensely. THen I can live up to the SHREDDED DAWG MONIKER!!

come sunday (hopefully) new diet focus and new workout plan still looking at a thermogenic...not sure what to get any thoughts on this would be appreciated...I was thinking about the aln product but it says that a ingredient is linked to high blood pressure and heart problems.

give me any suggestions of what has worked for you guys

when i start the diet on sunday i am going to do a modified psmf...low carb...and will use crystal lite to help me get through rough spots since it is no cal

briancurran01

so the plan is to have the Phenogen and H.E.A.T. hopefully before sunday...and to be on a psmf style diet...the cravings were the biggest thing killing me...i had such good results with the psmf before the added kick of the thermo i hope to knock this out in about a month.

weight goal: i am thinking 190-200 pounds

the split will be as follows

monday cardio
tuesday full body workout and cardio
wednesday cardio
thursday full body workout and cardio
friday cardio
saturday cardio
sunday full body workout and cardio

I am going to go as long as i can without a refeed have to see what happens...these 2 avant labs products are supposed to be really good at removing fat from stubborn areas (for me think midsection).

Thanks for everyone who keeps supporting me even though i havent been able to stay on course...I realize that I have to WANT to get in shape, and the only one stopping me is ME.

I am not going to make any excuses, but everything that has happened has just thrown me for a loop in more ways then one.

I had a nice stress relief, when i broke the wedding picture, i guess that symbolized something to me..my mother said that it was good that i could let out some of the anger that way...i was like SWEET i have alot more stuff i could break :)

i need to do like the ex has and just not give a ****, that isnt the kind of person i am though, but i guess it is what i have to become.

i know that once i fully dediicate myself nothing can stop me, i just have to stop making excuses and DO IT.

Just like bruteman told me "there is nothing left to it, but to do it. "

My advice would be to just do a normal calorie restricted diet, coupled with a good lifting program and some cardio. Honestly, you will make far better gains following that approach then using PSMF. Sure it will take you longer, but you will also hang on to more muscle mass.

briancurran01

Well, I don't know if any of your lifts have gone up as I have not kept up with your journal regularly. If they have gone up significantly, then chances are you are on the right path. However, if you have gained back a substantial amount of weight, and you have not seen a decent gain in strength levels, then something definately needs to be changed.

Vido

I'd worry about that sort of ****. You should ask for more pictures or to meet up. I'd never trust online dating because you never know who you're talking to. I'd wager a lot of the people on those sites are probably creepy weirdos that can't meet people in real life because of one reason or another. Bottom line is you have to be careful.

Vido
04-17-2005, 07:12 PM
Vido: i am working to get to 200 pounds ACTUAL WEIGHT...so why dont you call me a liar here like you did in pm? and who the **** do you think you are??? i did not only put one foot on the scale when it showed 225...i dont need to take this from you or anyone else

Ok, so assuming you're still giving updates based on your most depleted state, in reality you're really looking to hit 185-190. That's fine, it is now clarified.

Hence the reason I always say scale weight means nothing. So let me get this straight for future reference, is your goal to be 200lbs on the scale (doing whatever you can to have that number show up, ie. only putting one foot on the scale) or to ACTUALLY be 200lbs?

Um, Vido, how can one measure one's weight without using scales?

I hear you on that Brian, I just love a veriety of foods so 30 grams of carbs a day would be unrealistic for me, also I have read in a number of sources that to get the optimal gains in fat loss AND muscle growth you need a break fown of 45% carbs 20% fat and 35% protein, this is important to maintain good testosterone production.

OKay, This is my idea, non of this short term BS, how about 6 months, motivation for the long run, October 20th, cause i need to catch up to you guys, ive been dieting and lifting for only about a week and a half now. Elwood is Diesel already and you are already hitting the diet pretty hard, lets see who sticks with it for the long run :)

briancurran01
04-19-2005, 02:50 PM
uh...in 6 months i would be done cutting.

and probably on to bulking...

Unholy
04-19-2005, 02:51 PM
Right now Elwood is owning both of us with the lifts :) that will hopefully change soon mwahahahaha

Unholy
04-19-2005, 02:51 PM
I know, im saying in general, Who gets the most dramatic results in 6 months :)

briancurran01
04-19-2005, 02:53 PM
UH no he isnt....here are my max lifts

bench 215
deads 225
squat press i am not sure close to 500

if he is OWNING me now it is because he has carbs and i dont...look back at one of my other journals when i had carbs and i was right with him..if this is about how much you can lift then i am out...as the only day that i will be able to lift heavy is sunday after the refeed

briancurran01
04-19-2005, 02:54 PM
well then i got both yall beat already with what i did in a month before :)

Unholy
04-19-2005, 02:58 PM

briancurran01
04-19-2005, 03:00 PM
i just wanted to be in for the support and i am naturally competitive...i will be doing the 6 cycles of psmf (if it takes me that long to get to where i want to be)

so...if you want to do the comp for for that long then i am out...

Unholy
04-19-2005, 03:00 PM
Take a chill pill lol, your taking this way to seriously, this is supposed to be motivating for everyone involved. If you dont want to do this with us then why ask like ten times? I would be happy if you joined us. I understand about your diet effecting your lifts. The whole point of this is to help us all achieve our goals not fight over whos stronger or who can loose the most weight over a short period of time. :) again If you would like to do this with us, please no negativity :) when i say owned i mean it in the most humorous non serious way possible.

briancurran01
04-19-2005, 03:01 PM
also when comparing the strength of elwood and myself remember he has a workout partner...i fly solo and have for the whole time i been lifting

briancurran01
04-19-2005, 03:02 PM
i am not being negative...simnply pointing some things out.

Unholy
04-19-2005, 03:02 PM
Relax, no one is judging you.

briancurran01
04-19-2005, 03:04 PM
i will do this with you guys...i can use whatever extra encouragement and motivation i can get...and that is what i hope i can do for you 2 also

Unholy
04-19-2005, 03:06 PM
yup, Glad your joining us, i probably wont be just cutting for 6 months either, its basically who can get the closest to there ideal physique :) so if you finish cutting and start bulking you will have one up on us fat guys :p

Unholy
04-19-2005, 03:07 PM

NIce work on the Full Body session.

As for the traffic tix, I thought it was a speeding ticket, hence my making light of the situation; since it was a tix for an accident, I apologize since it's not a funny business.

Good work Bri!!! Stick to the diet!!!!It's key!!! Is the tortilla your only carb? Don't under eat either. It can cause your body to store fat. Six small meals a day are good. The bars are good for when your on the run and can't get to real food. Salads are good also!! Lot's of veges and fiber!!

Coke
04-20-2005, 08:50 AM
Eating like a true bb with the egg whites-chicken-broccoli...anyone who eats cans of tuna is serious with it, lol.

briancurran01
04-20-2005, 08:51 AM

thanks man...i am working up to the elliptical machine...i have very bad knees so it is rough on me

Unholy
04-20-2005, 07:30 PM
Wouldnt Eliptical be easier on your knees than the treadmill? There is no impact on the Elliptical like there is when you run. I find i burn much more calories on the eliptical. and the random mode is awsome where it randomly adjusts inline and resistance. At my gym I always try to get in there at 7 to catch the simpsons on the tvs in front of the cardio equipment. :) time flys while your having fun.

briancurran01
04-20-2005, 07:34 PM
