What's your favourite carbohydrate source for bulking[type of food, brand etc.]?
Mine is Paradise Valley mashed potatoes, they're cheap, easy to make and high in calories.

oats, oats, oats. Mashed potatoes isn't a great carb even when you are bulking. In fact, it has a higher GI than white bread i'm pretty sure.

why is that?
Because they only serve crap in the dining hall (white rice, fatty meats drenched in sauce, casseroles, etc). So if i want to eat clean I'm stuck with whatever I can make in a microwave in my room and store in a mini-fridge. Plus, I can't really "cook" anything, since the room would stink up and the roommate (who is a douchgebag) would get pissed.
God i miss college... Do not complain about the dining hall food. You can find good stuff to eat. There are too many good things about college...all the explicit fun, plus free gym membership. Be-yatch

Bread. Lots of bread. Chocolate ice cream. Cake. Cookies. Bowls overflowing with pasta and pesto sauce.
Bulking or cutting. :D

Baked Beans, Baked Potates, Brown Rice, White Rice, LOTS of Oats, LOTS of cereal (Honey Nut Crunch, Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Shredded Mini Wheats, Kix, Corn Flakes, Product 19, Honey Nut Cheerios, Life, Lucky Stars (generic Lucky Charms with more marshemellows), and Quaker Oat Bran), LOTS of PB&J sandwiches, bagels, and all the chocolate chip cookie dough I can stuff in my mouth. :D

Bulgur wheat
Continental Lentils
:)
Bread. Lots of bread. Bowls overflowing with pasta
These are by far my biggest weaknesses while dieting. I don't give a crap about sweets, but I' d kill to be able to sit down with a whole loaf of fresh italian bread and devour it with a plate of olive oil and balsamic to dip it in...and gorgonzola penne with blackened chicken and cajun grilled shrimp...my god

cheetos and cinnamon toast crunch. but not really. Actually, brown rice and oats!
Percentage of carbs? 20%-60% of your total calories. Whatever works for you. Just be sure to get enough protein and healthy fats.
