View Full Version : Wow...gained really fast.

I gained 2 lbs in a week eating 2500-2600 cals a day. From 130-132. Think i'm gonna bring it down to 2400. My goal is to gain 1 lbs a week. I can also see a little bit of a gut that I'm pretty sure just formed over this last week or so.

Most likely it's just water and food sitting in your gut. Bloating could explain the feeling that it's all gone straight to your waist.

Yeah I've seen my weight flucuate about 5lbs in any given day. Even if I weigh myself in same conditions

Yeah, well I weigh myself in the morning after having not eaten for 8 hours, so wouldn't that make it unlikely that it's food sitting in my stomach?

Weigh yourself every day so it averages out fluctuations like water hydration level. If you have put on 2lb and you want to slow down then dropping 100 cals is a good place to start.

It will depend on your pooping habits but it can still make a difference. Water weight is the most likely cause. I find it unlikely that you have gained that much fat on that little calories given your starting weight which suggests you have a fast metabolism.

Well I'm not naturally this skinny. I lost about 30 lbs over 18 months, and I've been at 130 for a couple months, now I'm trying to gain.

Certainly reduce the calories, I'm just trying to reassure you that you haven't put on 2 lbs of fat straight away, despite what it may look or feel like.

there is no way you got a gut gaining 2 lbs. You are you worried about gaining weight. if thats your goal keep eating. You can cut later. Im 17 6 foot and started off at 134 lbs. i am eating 2700 calories a day gaining about 1 to 2 lbs a week and i dont feel like i have put on much fat. just keep the calories clean and eat eat eat.

guess everyone is different...

but I gained 15lbs this month and my waist has gotten smaller.

I have to agree on the water weight. test it out yourself. check every hour. that will show you how different it can be at any time

If you gain muscle and lose fat, then grats, you have a smaller waist.
