Anything healthy I can add to make it less bland?
I am sitting here taking a mouth full then chugging Diet Dr. Pepper.

You say you are bulking...
add fruit-- apples, bananas etc...
Cocoa powder, cinnamon, splenda, low fat milk, yogurt, whey powder...
Basically, add whatever you want. Oatmeal is a good base.

Get some frozen blueberries, then defrost them in the microwave and pour them into the oats. Heating in the microwave will make them leak a little juice, which mixes with the oats and tastes awesome.

It will be dry, and kinda like spongecake.
That's how I used to make them. This is way better. Moist and wonderful.

I know it sounds bizarre, but you do NOT taste the cottage cheese AT ALL. It goes through the blender.

People really don't like the taste of cooked oatmeal? I can add a little milk and eat it plain.
Javyn, Leaving the yolk might change the consistency of the waffle. You can experiment but I know egg whites are good for 'stiffening' or fluffing up a recipe and keeping the yolk might not get the same result...

When would you add the whey poweder? When the oatmeal is on the hob, or after it is served?

If you really hate it don't eat it, there are other alternatives.
I am so sick of oatmeal personally :drooling: . I stick to eggs and cereal for breakfast instead.
