do you guys partake? i am trying to drink tea in the morning to wake up, it doesn't seem to have much effect. i can't drink coffee, it tears up my stomach. actually...more than one cup of tea will tear up my stomach too, so the caffeine must be having some effect on me, just not jostling me awake. i tried drinking some this evening and it made me crash until 9pm even!

does anyone else experience this reverse effect from caffeine? i guess i'd better stick with 2 cups of water as a morning wakeup drink

Interesting.

The reason I ask is that stimulants sometimes have an opposite effect on children.

You're a VERY old kid.

hmmm a diet coke w/lime (the best soda EVER)...usually does the trick for me caffeine-wise...or its just psychological...eitehr way it does a good job waking me up and keeping me up..

I drink around 4 cups of coffee a day and two green tea caps also. It doesn't affect me to much. Tell myself it's keeping me going through my mind-numbling boring job.

Caffeine does nothing for me, or at least that is what it seems. I can drink a cup of coffee, or down an EC stack and go right to sleep.

i sorta have the same condition where coffee/tea doesn't keep me awake in the morning. The only thing I do now and the only thing that has ever worked was going for a 1 hour jog first thing in the morning. I'm sharp and alert and couldn't go back to sleep if I tried. I think it has something to do with kick starting your muscles/mind and warming them up so they stay on.
