I saw another post about this a little lower down, but it was mainly about fat loss and not about lifting.

I've had a lot of trouble sleeping lately and have been really uptight and tense about the whole thing. I usually never drink at all, but i was thinking about getting messed up tonight just to relax and see if i could sleep better (I know its not the healthiest solution, but i figure if i could just get it off my mind for a night it might help.)

Anyway, how harmful would it be to get ****faced for a night? I dont plan on making it a regular thing.

just one night? you probably won't see a difference.

You'll lose all your gains from 4 weeks prior and will have to start over due to one night of drinking.

i just got back from spring break and i havent lost anything... i actually made some gains because i was getting to the point of overtraining before i left and the week off helped me.

If you are just trying to relax and get some sleep, maybe try melatonin, valerian, chamomile etc....first.

Of course, if you are just looking for a blessing from us to go out and get hammered...go forth and conquer, kiddo.

i used to drink once a week, didnt harm my gains too much (just as long as your clean througout the week), heck, unless your going pro your allowed to enjoy yourself every once in a while :)

Why not just take an over the counter sleep aid? Always works for me. A little groggy in the morning for about an hour, but better than being hungover.

My guess is, you just wanna get hammered and not feel guilty about it. In which case have at it, and while youre there go chase down an 8 ball with friends, it will help you cut along with the dehydration from the liquor. DAMN GOOD STUFF.

drinking ends up keeping me awake (so i can drink more it seems)

find my recent message on rooibos tea (in the fish oil cap thread here), if you have trouble sleeping at night, rooibos tea will knock your ass out. especially if you are athletic
