Hi, I am 5'7 and 140 pounds. I'm a pretty small guy, but I have alot of chubby fat around my waist. I've just started working out at the gym, just weight training, every 2-3 days.

Anyways I want to get some supplements to help me cut some fat and gain muscle. Would you guys recommend me taking fat burner plus some whey protein?

a fat burner and some whey protein would be 2 good supplements to use yes..

Check out Nitrean and Thermocin on www.atlargenutrition.com

But the guys are right. You need to have a solid diet behind it or you wonlt be doing yourself justice.

You had me at..."Noob here"

Eat less food than you need, do some cardio in the am on an empty stomach.....lift weights in the evening, slam down some protein...then go to bed. Its a recipe for success!

My diet right now is pretty messed up, I eat whatever, but only like 2 meals a day, which I know is bad for me. Its jsut that right now school is taking up alot of my time.

Anyways, Ive been on a diet before and lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. It was pretty much 3 small meals a day with snacks in between, all healthy foods and good carbs. That was hard though, not that I had uncontrollable cravings, but I had to make all my meals myself and make sure my meals were on schedule. With fat burner supps will I be able to eat more of what I want.. or pretty much just eat my regular diet and still lose weight? I will be weight trainign every day too with occasional cardio.

Well think about this What id you eat 5 medium sized meals a day and take a thermogenic? That way you would be set, also having a cheat meal one meal a week can help keep you motivated. Also you should be doing regular cardio and if anythign occasional weightlifting, although i would do 3 days lifting 4 days cardio, that way you will definatly loose the fat and in the mean time get some definition. But you will niether loose fat nor gain muscle from a poor diet.

Oh and On a side note, no one losses 10 pounds of fat in 2 weeks from a diet. You loose water weight and clear your bowels a bit.

...."weight loss" is overrated as u can lose significant weight by losing muscle (since muscle weighs more than fat)....so if u want to lose fat gain muscle...don't neccessarily go by the scale...go by the mirror and how u look and feel...cuz u can be losing fat while still gaining weight because of keeping muscle mass or increasing muscle mass...

he's got a good point, in the last 2 weeks i've dropped a noticeable amount of fat just by doing cardio (i call it a cut, but i still eat the same amount of calories that i do on my bulk, just run 3 mile on my off days) but i still weigh 161lbs. don't go totally on the scale when you're losing weight because it's not really an accurate way of telling how much fat you're actually losing. i agree with optimum, mirror is the best way to go
