What are the ideal things to eat/drink post workout and post cardio?

Also, I've read that low glycemic carbs are good before a workout and high glycemic carbs are good after a workout, is this true?

yes, what you have read about pre/post workout carbs is true.

As for ideal things to eat drink, I like a simple protein shake with a banana and a nature valley oats and honey bar. Many other people have a shake with dextrose though.

The most ideal thing is to include the "search" button in your shakes... it's trully the best thing...
