View Full Version : Startin Pics/ BF% check

Heys im 18 years old, 6' 1" and weight in at 240 lbs these are my starting pics from last week, I just got calipers and an Electronic body fat tester. The Calipers say im 27-28% based on just the stomach Sample and using the chart that comes with them, the electronic tested is giving me 28-29%. i would say you are within the realm of that bodyfat percentage. 25 or so....

just a suggestion... lookin over your fit day diet I would say you should cut back some carbs and fill in with more protien.... looks like you break down is 50% carbs 25% fats/protien..... try and shoot for more protien and less carbs....

Kee thanks for the help, from what people have been telling me, they say aim for 45 carbs 35 protein 20 fat that is what I have been trying to do. But I will try to cut down on the carbs a bunch.

I think 30 carbs, 40 protein and 30 fats is an ideal breakdown.

yep, 27-29.... so I'd say probably 28%

(that was my estimate just from reading title and glancing at pics.... with out reading the 1st 2 sentences of your post where you gave your BF until after I posted!! )

You look to be about 30%. Honestly, I don't think you BF% matters when you're up that high and I'm not someone who has no idea, i've been there. Stop worrying about % and start working on your diet and exercise. Once you get below 20 you can start monitoring that stuff with some level of acuracy.
