Well let me call this the begining...

I have been working out for well over a year on and off... (damn girls have a horid impact on my workout schedule)

I began with a very indepth workout from www.fitrex.com and got burnt out. Worked into WBB#1 and with the help of my brother, I think I have something that I am really enjoying.

Today:

Food: ate a bunch of trash (or at least that is what it was on a nutritional basis)

Workout:
Bench.........135x8, 145x6, 145x5 (superset with chinups)
Chinups.......6x2 (not assisted)
DB Incline....55s x 8, 55s x 6
Dips............6x2 (not assisted)
DB Flys........20s x 6, 30s x 7 x 2
Tricep PD.....90 x 6 x 2

Notes: My upper body is a big goal... ever since soccer in HS. I am still trying to learn that I do have muscles up there.

Tomorrow... no workout but 10 miles of mountain/rode biking to work.

Well... the past two weeks have been very hectic. But I am now have my Masters Degree and do not have to deal with college anymore (at least for a while).

Workouts for the past two weeks have been light and biking has been cut to a minimum. Hopefully with more time I can find a balance again.

New bike will be finished on Wednesday and I hope to set my workout goals prior to my next journal entry.

I am shooting for something around the ability to complete 2 sets of 8 reps at
300 lbs Squat
225 lbs Bench (This will be a challenge...) [currently 145 x 7 x 2]

Typical workout that includes bench... Good day in the gym other than my inability to do chin-ups all that well. Oh well next week.

Good start to a journal! You spelled "Naive" wrong, though. Nieve = Naive.

As of know I am just attempting to be physically fit.

By the end of the summer (i.e. August/September)
I would like to be lifting greater than 200 lbs at Bench, and over 300 at Squat.

Also... I would like to participate in one of our local off-road triathalons (mountain biking, trail running, and open water --small lake-- swimming)

Also... today was my first ride into the office on my new (well mostly new) downhill/freeride bike. There is a HUGE difference riding a 25lb bike compared to a 45lb bike. It will just make me stronger.

Current Lifts, Etc.

Last Bench - 145 x 8 x 2
Last Squat - 245 x 8 x 2
Wieght = 205 lbs
Hieght = 6' 1"
