Whats a good herb that helps depression. I lost my job a while back and my last paxil prescription has ran out. I thought yomimbe or rosemary was one. I know I saw it here. I tried searching but no luck. Thanks for your help guys.

St. John's Wort used to be recommended for depression. I have not the faintest idea if it actually works, I've not really looked into it.

Fish oil, and I swear by the stuff. Hubby and I both have low-level depression, and it just seemed to go away when we started taking it.
I take 10g per day.
It's good for you anyway, for lots more than depression.
(No, I don't have shares in a fish-oil company!)

I`ve tried St. John`s Wort. It did absolutely nothing for me.
Fish oil is good-- you may also want to try a B-vitamin complex. I started a 1000mg B-12 in addition to my b-complex, and overall I feel significantly better.
But if you were prescribed on Paxil, you really should find a way to get another prescription. No herbal remedy does the same thing as an SRI. Do you have COBRA on your health insurance? Look into it.

yeah, something like that. My brother had some of that, and he said it was for depression. Im not sure if he had depression, or if it worked for him, though. Its supposed to work, and I guess it doesnt hurt to try.
