Does it truly matter how many you have a day? I take only one after working out but I think I eat quite a bit of protein through out the day. Should I start having one prior to going to sleep?

if you want to grow you should have some a small meal with protein before bed

having one prior to bed is a good idea, imo. However, if your protein is only a whey blend, you might want to mix it with milk, or have some cottage cheese/and or natural peanut butter.

yes, I personally like cottage cheese before bed now that I can stomach it. Before that I used to take a whey shake with some natural peanut butter to slow down the digestion of the whey.
