hey everyone,
well im trying to eat good, and so ive decided to try to only stick to water to drink. sometimes though i really have an urge to drink something with flavor. so basically i only can think of 2 alternatives, fruit drinks, or gatorade. I kno im gonna stay away from powerade cuz it has high fructose corn syrup in it.

my question is, theyre both around 200 kcals in a bottle, so ingridient wise, should i drink one over the other, or does it even matter?

u might try propel fitness water, its from the makers of gatorade and has good flavor while only having something like 20 cals/4g sugar in a ~17oz. bottle...both gatorade and fruit drinks are loaded with sugar and really aren't that good of alternatives...if i had to pick one though, i would choose the gatorade just because of the electrolytes...

drink a 50% apple juice / 50% water mix

Or make weak lemonaid with lemon juice and dextrose - I like this to sip on while I train. There's some evidence that the lemon might even help your body use the carbs. Tastes good anyway, and it's cheap.

crystal light is my favorite. They have multiple flavors to choose from too.

mmm i love water. have a 2 gal rubbermaid jug with a spout on my desk. fill it up every 2-3 days. nothing like room temp. water. in the gym il drink a 3-4 liters within an hour. only thing that sucks is pissing 24/7

this might sound weird but sometimes i sqeeze some lime juice in my water and add mint leaves! very refreshing :)

I like crystal light when water is too bland. 10 cals per serving.

i really like room temp water... is there a differance in the effect water has on your body, with cold water vs room temp water??

cold water takes more calories to digest...warm water is better for getting water into your system faster

I have lipton unsweetened iced tea, then i sweeten it with a little splenda and maybe some davinci... I'd also recommend the diet green tea with ginseng from arizona... you can buy a big gallon of it for like 3 bucks... good stuff too, thats also sweetened with splenda.

man, i tried one of those propel fitness water things and theyre great! it really helps being 30 cals for 24 oz.

i love water, i drink so much of it, expecially when i lift (but then again, i don't drink anything else, other than around 4 gallons of milk every week, i've probably drank 2 cans of diet soda in the past 3 months, and a couple gatorades)...in about an hour and a half workout i drink 5-6 16.9fl oz bottles of water. i don't know why i get so thirsty when i lift, i just do. i say try drinking propel if you're sick of water, although i'm not really a big fan of the propel flavors.

yeah, the raspberry ice and the pink lemonade are my two favorites when it comes to crystal light
