These are just some pics I took today. I am only about three months in. Overall, looking for lean muscle mass. I am currently 160lbs and 6'1". My end goal would be by Oct. to be at 175lbs. with only 8-9% bodyfat. Ok, so let me know what you think. What I need to work on. By the way, can't work legs with squats so leg improvement is slow, I have an injured back.

Concur. Great start, and if I was that lean I would be bulking like crazy!

For being 6'1" and 160 you're looking good. I would have guessed you weighed more.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I kind of knew that most would say bulk. I am currently on a one month clean bulk. I have just went from my starting bulk of 3000 cal. to 3500 cal. per day. I will do this for a month and then do a small cut. I will post more pics after the bulking stage and then after the cut to see what you think. Again, thanks for the feedback. Other than the legs, any other areas I should work on balancing out?

I am only looking to gain round another 15-20 lbs. 5000-6000 cal. is that even possible with a clean bulk?

Hey Guido
You say work legs, I would agree. I do have a back injury, can't do squats. Already do leg curls, leg extensions, leg press, deadlift, and inner and outer thigh. What more do would you suggest?

Deadlifting doesn't bother your injuy at all? I would bulk for a lot longer than 1 month. In 1 month you'd be lucky to gain 6-7lbs-some people are lucky to gain 5. I would bulk for 6 months and see where you are then-you won't be needing a cut in a month that's for sure.

What kind of back injury do you have! You mentioned that you still do deads without hurting your back! I had some back problems for years and eventually made it better. just curious.

My lower four disc are messed up. I have progressed disc disease. I have two fused and two bulged. I was told about 6 years ago, if I wanted to still walk, stay away from squats. Yes, I am pushing it deadlifting. However, I do use the trap bar. Not saying it doesn't bother my back but the doctors tell me with any weight over my current body weight, would crush my spine.
