And there was an article in there about this study that was conducted.
It said that by doing cardio(30min biking) before lifting you are contributing to them getting weaker. Something about the biking makes it so you are not able to lift as strongly and i guess over time you become weaker....whoknows
Does anyone still warm up (8-10min) before lifting???

this is common sense, not a study IMO. if you do cardio for 30 minutes that is using a lot of energy that could have been used while lifting. if you start lifting already tired then of course you won't lift as much.
however a decent 5-10 minute warmup is always practical. warmup does not mean a cardiovascular exercise. it just means to loosen up and get blood flowing. in simple terms.

Literally, a warmup should raise body temperatures, and cardio is the most efficient manner to do this. However, "warmups" should also consist of exercise specific work with progressively increasing weight, and I find that this is entirely suitable without any cardio. I haven't done much cardio warmup in about 2 years and I'm basically as injury free/prone as I was when I did run or bike before lifting.
Sometimes I do five/ten minutes of cardio, sometimes I don't. Doesn't seem to make a big difference in strength for me, which has been increasing for months.

my typical warmup consists of 5 or 6 minutes on a crosstrainer(god these things are boring after 5 seconds). then a light set before each exercise. I have been injury free in the gym for a long time.

30 minutes would be way too long. I do 3 minutes on a bike and then active stretches for 5 minutes or so.

so In conclusion am not really doing much by biking for 8-10min postworkout?

I warm up by lifting light for a set or two of each exercise. That's it. I save the cardio for off days or do 20 mins. after lifting.

This is exactly how I do it, too.

I do a 5-3-3-1 rep scheme, 1 minute rest in between, while increasing the weight up to the desired weight for the day. No cardio, no injuries.

Warming up is one thing, training for slow paced endurance is another. If you want to be as explosive and as strong as possible, you will not touch anything that is slow paced, and either not do cardio, or stick to an HIIT type program.

I never do cardio when bulking, if i was cutting i do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. And if you feel you can lift with full stength after doing cardio then do it.
