if you keep at it, they may subside. at least for the most part. i don't really get craving for crappy food anymore. try having a cheat meal or something to fulfill those cravings so that you don't give in and gorge

I crave looking better more than I crave food, that is the only thing that is keeping me going lol.

Same here. If I get a real "craving" for something crappy, I'll pop a small piece of chocolate or something; or have a spoonfull of ice cream. Little tiny portions like that aren't gonna kill ya.

I try to eat healthy since a couple years ago I was quite the porker since I didn't care about what I ate whatsoever.

lol, just ask their permission and put it as your wallpaper.. that way you can focus on them 24/7 while you're at the comp. :P

all i can say is, when i have cravings, i eventually end up giving in. try and replace the cravings with something more healthy but keeps the cravings down. For me, its peanut butter. so i switched to almond butter, slightly lower fat, especially saturated. So now, i can't just sit there and eat out of peanut butter jar b/c almond butter isn't as good. But it keeps the peanut craving down. Plus, i quit buying the peanut butter all together b/c the almond butter replaces it. i've lost a quite a bit of fat just by doing that.

Lol well the good news is when I woke up today the cravings have been gone :) but when I when they hit last night it was like an overload, I wanted everything from Yellow cake with chocolate frosting to chicken rolls :) I didnt give in though.

I eat from 28-35 meals a week, I might implement one cheat meal every week once i drop the first 15lbs.

I find i dont get cravings for anyhting unless im hungry...period. Always keep somethign in your stomach and youll never get the urge. Im not saying stuff your face all day, but try to throw a small snack in your belly every couple hours between meals. It helps greatly.

Another way to look at it is liek this. Look at the food your craving, imagine putting it in your mouth...the salivating...the chewing....the sweet sticky goodness...the insulin spike and feeling of euphoria. Then imagine the exact ****ing opposite as your lungs are burning and your legs feel like they are gonna fall off as you run on the treadmill to try and offset what you ate that day.

Enjoy!

About how many grams a day would be ideal... for just being normal and not cutting or bulking or anything else.

I don't really get cravings for bad foods anymore (after 9 weeks on bulk, that is). Even after I have a cheat, I usually feel strangley empty.

I set one day out of the week, ususally Saturday since that's leg day, to have a cheat meal. So when I have cravings I just look forward to Saturday to curb those cravings, gives me something to look forward to.

how badly do u cheat?

I only have 1 meal to cheat with and I use that for lunch before training on that Saturday. Usually go to my favorite Italian restaurant and have a stromboli and a slice of stuffed pizza or some type of pasta, I generally stay away from sweets unless it's just like a bite. I've set my goal for this summer to 5%bf so cheating isn't really a luxury for me, I even feel guilty when I eat this meal, but knowing that I am going in for a leg session makes me feel a little bit better about it though.

no wonder you are getting cravings. Just read you fitday journal and you are eating like 1800 max. For a 232 lb person, that's insane. You're starving yourself. Might want to rethink your diet there. I think you are more likely to fail if you keep it up.

Lol, thanks for your concern ( no sarcasm intended) but im full all damn day. All these high protein foods fill me up for hours. I only get these cravings when im at my girlfriends house and her family is eating somethign really good. Or when we order lunch at work and people get some of my favorite foods. I eat all day. That food you see in my fitday....I pack it in the morning.....in a tuperware container. And eat non stop eating about 1/4th of it fills me up, and for the rest of the day I eat somethign every hour or so from that container. And when i get home i have 2 shakes one before and one after working out.
