Im 17, im 6 foot, i weigh 140 lbs, since i started lifting i have not had one cheat day. Is it good to have a cheat day, or will it mess me up.

It is good, as long as you stick to one a week or whatnot, You might want to do one cheat meal and see how it goes. But since you are 140 lbs at 6 foot you might want to make every day a cheat day.

Depends on the cheat day, the person, and the frequency. It "just depends". Some people can get away with them easily, while others can't as easily.

I agree. I outweigh you by more than 100 pounds, and i'm not very big. I'd seriously consider bulking up.

I think he/she is bulking. The question was asking if a cheat meal would hinder progress.

no regrets

at your weight/height, I don't think a cheat will hurt you much

the only reason i would say you would need a cheat is for psychological purposes, a planned refeed/increase in carbs if dieting would be more beneficial.... personally on this cut i have cheated 1 meal in 4 weeks.... and it wasnt even cuz i was craving anything i just figured id spend time and enjoy a meal with the girly.

Personally I found once I stopped paying so much attention to my diet I saw better results. All I really look for now is alot of protein and very low sugar and only good fats. I don't have a specific cheat day I'll just get dessert if I feel like it if I'm out to eat and things like that.

Aren't cheat days for people who are cutting/dieting? to deal with cravings? Why worry about "cheating" on a bulk? How would you cheat on a bulk, eat 5lbs of crisco?

well some people prefer to eat clean while bulking so having that occasional pizza or what not would be considered a cheat i suppose
