If you have any Middle Eastern friends, ask them if you can try their hummus. It is awesome, and so much better than stuff you can get in a can. It also has a mean caloric punch: chick peas, tahini (sesame paste), and garlic. Plus, they pour olive oil on top of that.

It is healthy, plus yummy. Tastes great with whole wheat pitas, or you can just dip your veggies in there.

hummus has a nice kick, gotta find somewhere I can buy it organic, havnt had it in forever. anyone have the breakdown on cals and macro?

try to make your own, i think it has about 70cals per 2tbls about there!

i usually make my own but if not i buy it at the supermarket usually the section where they have middle eastern foods! well we have it here!

My dad makes a mean hummus. I know there is chick peas, garlic, maybe some cumin...

whats ur recipe?
2 can chick peas
4 gloves garlic -crushed
1 lemon-juice
1/3 cup olive oil
1/2 tsp. ground fresh nutmeg, black pepper

add ingredients into the food prccessor and blend until smooth

serve :)
