I just had a big shock when I looked at the back of my shrimp bag and it said that a single serving had 40 percent of the RDA of cholessterol. what's going on? Is shrimp really bad? I mean it has almost no carbs, no fat, good amount of protein, and is quick to make. so am I just imaging things or is shrimp really that bad for you. Should I stop eating it or do its health benefits outweigh its cholessterol level?

What about its cholesterol level?

Dietary cholesterol is totally over-hyped as a health risk.

Personally, I pay not attention to it at all.

And I used to have high cholesterol. It's low now, and I eat WAY more animal fat than I did when it was high and I didn't lift.

Don't worry about it.

Just eat lots and lift heavy. Your body will take care of natural fats if you're not overweight.

I swear I'm not seeing why you need to cut from your avatars, built.

Lower body.

Leg fat is the horny dog that clings, humpingly, to my legs.

I see. I'm surprised, though, you're incredibly lean as far as upper body goes.

I know.

It's a chick thing.

Plus, remember, I was fat for almost twenty years. It seems to settle in, kinda like damage.

It's going. I'm REALLY working hard on it. It just seems to take for freaking EVER.

Sorry for the threadjack. I'll now return you to shrimp and cholesterol.

Just eat the shrimp and don't worry about it.

i rarely believe anything the gov't recommends when it comes to nutrition.

built is right... dietary cholesterol is over-hyped. they screw that up just like they screwed up the pyramid and carbs and everything else.

rant concluded.
