Any thoughts about this pre-show diet?? If it sucks... please tell me. I'm open to any suggestions. I'm trying to prepare for my first competition, so this is my first show diet. This is just one diet I was thinking of doing. Thanks guys!


Show Diet

*8:00a.m. Meal #1 Breakfast
8 egg whites/1 yoke and 1 cups of oatmeal with 4 tablespoons flax seeds

*11:00a.m. Meal #2 Late Breakfast
Protein shake

2:00p.m. Meal #3 Lunch
6-7 oz. Chicken and cup broccoli and 1 tablespoon of flax oil

5:00p.m. Meal #4 Late Lunch
6-7 oz. Chicken and cup of broccoli

8:00p.m. Meal #5 Dinner
6-7 oz. Chicken and cup of broccoli and 1 tablespoon of flax seed oil

11:00p.m. Meal #6 Late Dinner
6-7 oz. Chicken and cup of broccoli

*Right before bed- Meal #7-
Protein shake with 2-4oz, chicken



* = try not to change


Food Options

PROTEIN
Chicken
Turkey
Tuna (low salt)
Shrimp
Steak (limited)
Egg whites

CARBOHYDRATES
Baked potato
Brown rice
Pasta (1/2 cup at most)
Fat-free yogurt

VEGETABLES
Broccoli
Spinach
Dark green lettuce


****no milk, white bread, or protein bars

you're only gonna eat carbs in one meal of the day?

have you ever read the article about separating carbs and fat?

Oh jeez that was one of my questions. Thanks for reminding me haha. Yeah I was going to ask if i should add more carbs to this diet? But which meals should I add more to?

i'd usually suggest post training, but what kind of diet are you actually doing?

Well I don't know exactly. This is all new to me. I was told that a diet similar to this would be good 8 weeks prior to a show. But this is just one of many diets I could do. I've never done a cutting diet yet, so I can't really say what would work best for me just yet. I really just need help figuring out what type of diet I can do. But any way you can change this one around would be cool too.

I'm 6'4" 230-235. I'm guessing I could cut down to around 215... not sure though.
