View Full Version : 9 lbs in 2 weeks! (Maintaining weight question)

A mixture of Porridge Oats, protein shake, tuna and chicken has helped me gain 9 lbs in just two weeks.

I'm so proud! One of those weeks I wasn't even lifting! W0rd.

I'm just going to aim to keep adding to it for now. My biggest challange is keeping my weight ON. I really struggle with that, so the question is, what is the trick to maintaining weight after you've gained it?

Also gotta keep working out. The body won't retain muscle when it doesn't need it.

How much is "enough" to keep a stable weight though? Like, once I've finished bulking, do i go back to 3 meals a day or what? Will I drop weight that way?

It's about calorie intake not meal frequency. You'll have to determine how much you have to eat to maintain by experimentation. When you reach the weight you want to maintain at, just lower daily calories until you're no longer gaining.
