This is first time I have ever had Nat PB and an Apple, GOD THAT IS GOOD! How do you guys eat it? I get a Granny Smith Apple and cut it up into pretty thin slices, then put the nat pb on a side dish and dip. I didn't think 2 tbsp would last me whole apple but it did. Was so damn good=) Think it's bad to have this every day or every other day?

OMG that's my treat every day!

I like Fujis myself.

Cut 'em into quarters, cut out the core, smear, and enjoy.

Bliss!

Toasted English muffins, natty PB and applesauce is amazing ...

You can also blend it into a whey shake. Chocolate whey with natty PB is kinda like a Reeses PB cup...

yummm....reese pb cups....

GREAT IDEA.

I just looked on the bag, those things are calorie loaded. Throwing a couple of those in the shake tonight.

I noticed, with the exception of the chocolate whey, I don't eat any candy at all any more.

I also discovered the apple + natty combo recently and it's changed my life. I seriously prefer it to any kinda of desert or treat. My problem is I'll cut up the apple and then just sit there with the jar scooping away. Before I know it half the jar is gone, god I miss bulking... :(

Why do people say to store Nat PB upside down?

Because the oil rises. So when you tip it right side up the oil is at the bottom and easier to stir with out making a mess.

YungLifter

so everytime you want to get some pb you stir it 1st?

I was never big fan of fruit untill little while back, so now im experimenting with them lol. So do I stir the PB everytime I want some?

I give it a good stir when I first open it, then store it upside down.

also if you want less oil to deal with and a much better (IMHO) texture try the reduced fat NP from smuckers. I think it tastes alot better and is less oily by far...

Not sure why you'd want to do that - most of us eat natty PB as a fat source. But hey, if it means you can eat MORE of it...

Yea I don't get much fats from my other foods(chicken, turkey breast, tuna) so I need some fat in my diet to get it to atleast 25% daily.

why even bother with the apple? I just ate 1/2 can of smuckers nat PB no problem just with a glass of milk

I think of the apple as a vehicle.

Sometimes, a spoon works.

Or in your case, a fist... ;)

Yeah, I always have natty PB with a red delicious apple. It's great. The other day for a meal instead of a snack I mixed natty PB with chocolate protein powder, cut up an apple into thin slices, and made a sandwich out of it with whole wheat bread. Good god that was good.

The juicy apple contradicts the gritty dry natty pb to create a symphony of deliciousness in your mouth.

natural food store i'm sure alot of supermarkets carry it as well and yes it's better! none of those plastic fats in natty pb just roasted nuts! you'll see oil on top so just mix it in!
trans fat a no no!

regular peanut butter, or natural peanut butter....neither one are very good for you. Peanuts in general aren't that good..they have toxins in them from mold that grows on them....but what isn't bad for you, right? I still eat peanut butter..

Almond butter would be the way to go IMO, if you wanted the healthiest alternative... it tastes good too, but pretty expensive.

Since when is natural peanut butter not very good for you?

And, playing along, wouldn't the regular one be even WORSE for you, since it has mold ... AND trans fats?
