I need a workout program that will boost the 3 lifts. I'm trying to get much stronger for football and powerlifting, what would be the best workout for that.

looking at your stats and age.....just picking up weights and moving them would help....but u can try joedefrancostraining.com and look for an article called WESTSIDE FOR SKINN BASTARDS....a real good program....

Pure strenght--- very low reps, 2-4 max

Stick to the basics. After reading this article (http://www.wannabebigforums.com/showthread.php?t=59401) I started a Big 3 routine centered around recovery and I was able to add 5lbs every week on my powerlifts.

While its true that higher weights at lower sets will proivde the most effective gains in strenght, youll also find it necessary to do something like this... a set of X at 10 reps, a set of x at 8 reps a set of x at 6 reps and a set of x at 2 reps. I dont do it exactly like that but you get the picture. Sometimes youll want to do a maybe set of x for 5 reps, then x for 4 reps, then x for 3 reps and so on. Other times you can try dong a 3,2,1 and make sure to get some negatives/forced reps in there. You cant just stick on the same rotuine the whole time or your body will get used to it.

Do you think if I took WBB#1 and dropped the reps with heavier weight i would see better strength gains?
