you guys are probably getting tired of me talking. but this is the last one i promise. if i have a high body fat percentage the best thing for me is cardio correct.

I am cutting and haven't done any cardio "yet". Cardio helps but the diet is the main factor. If you can get in the habit of counting calories you can lose all the weight you need. The trick is to make that weight fat and not muscle.

If you really have high body fat, cardio and diet will work wonders for you. It's once you get down to a lower bodyfat that things start getting tricky.

Make sure you are getting a high percentage of protein, less simple carbs, fewer calories than you are expending, and lift hard and heavy with free weights a few days a week, making sure to work your whole body, especially legs and back. Use www.fitday.com to track your calories and nutrients. I'd start with 500-600 calories under maintenance for you to start. Keep at it for a few months and you'll definitely notice a difference, then keep doing it.
