If there's like a website in some parallel e-universe that is just like WBB but exactly opposite. A website where they preach to use machines and John Basedow is their god. A website where they have never heard of bulking, and instead they rely strictly on that hollywood juice diet. And everyone there is striving to be really "toned"?
Just wondering.

I'm sure there are tons of them. First comes to mind dieting forums and pilates/yoga type stuff.

Hehehe...
Well, that's pretty much all they talk about on a lot of 'em.
Google "toning weights" sometime, just for *****s and giggles.

I've never been to a female board, however my mom falls for all of that stuff on TV. In the past two or three years she's been on the atkins diet, some sort of all fruit diet or somethin, and just about every other one out there. But she won't listen to me when I tell her just to count calories and eat less of them. And yes, she owns a pair of purple DBs, and a video about how to use them to get toned.

Well, Jeff, to be fair, I started with Atkins, and it was EXACTLY the right place for me to start.
But I started lifting about a month in to the diet, and started looking for strategies to use carbs with this within about 6 months.
You're right, of course. But there are a million ways to diet someone down. They all work, for somebody. The trick is to find a balance point that's comfortable that you can maintain. For some, lower carbs are more comfortable, and this was the part I needed to learn from my experience with Atkins.

Yeah I wasn't saying atkins was bad at all. It was just that she was so inconsistent with her dieting that no diet would ever get her the results she wanted.

And it was the only one I could remember the name of :-p.

N/P - it wasn't the whole story. It was just a good place to start, FOR ME. I was lucky I discovered lifting early in the game.

Momma says I don't need no school.
And actually I have too little time on my hands. Imagine the stuff I could come up with if school was out and I didn't have a job or work out.
