View Full Version : Brown Rice Cooking in bulk question

I often cook a few servings of brown rice together on the same day, portion them out and throw a few servings in Tupperware in the fridge, nuke them when I need them, pretty easy. I usually trust these to be good for 2 or 3 days.... but is it really still good after that amount of time, and can you freeze it after cooking it and then just nuke it? I've never tried freezing it.

I actually make my rice for the full week. I would say if you keep them in an air tight container, you should be ok. I've been doing this for over 3 weeks now and have had no problems.

i'd freeze it if your storing it for more than a week, however if its less than that, you should be just fine.

yeah i make my rice for the week too....and its good in sealed tupperware for 4-5 days at the very least. Since i have a rice cooker, mine can't do more than 4-5 full cups anyways......
