what's a good ratio of protein:carbs:fat when you cut? I'm about to cut and was thinking about going with 40% protein, 30% carbs, and 30% fats....any advice?

The ratios mean exactly nothing.

Just make sure you get in enough protein (1-1.5g per pound), enough fat (at least 30% of cals from fat), and maintain a caloric deficit that is sufficient to lose, but not too fast.
