Nice on losing the 100+ lbs of lard.

Your build is well balanced imo, with exception to the legs, which aren't shown heh.

THANKS! All most 100 pounds on the nose, I'm still around 180 and 6' even

My thighs are about 23" and calves 16" but because of knee problems I haven't been able to do much with them in the past few months and really can'tget them much beyond that point.

Actually it's funny you ask cause I've been trying to find some of me at my "peak". It's funny how few there are of me during that time at all, I guess when you're that overweight and feel bad about how you look you avoid cameras.

Actually they don't believe it or not. Even people I spent years with in high school don't recognize me.

And just today I sent my brother an email with about a 1/2 dozen pics of other BB buddies of mine and slipped this picture in the middle of them and even he didn't know it was me. (Of course he knows what size I am, but hasn't seen me without a shirt in over a year.)

Awesome transformation man. Hope you do find those before pics. It would be cool to see just how much you've changed in pictures.

BTW, how did you go about losing all the weight? I imagine it must have been a total lifestyle change to lose that much weight and look this good.

Again, good work and keep lifting!

Nice work! Have you had any probs with loose skin? Things look pretty tight, so I'm guessing not.

Excellent transformation, Geeper! As someone who's lost over 100 pounds since Oct 2002, I know how f-in' hard it is. You look incredible! I wish I looked that good. I lost mine mainly doing low-carb and mainly cardio...not much weights.....joined the local Gold's in March and am trying to firm up my loose skin and get rid of the last of the stubborn flab. Now I wished I had worked out with weights from the start. I love it now!

Keep going strong, Geeper!

Looking really good. Bi's and delts look good; looks like the chest needs some work, but it's hard to tell from the pose.

WOW, what a great responses... I was kind of scared to post, but what positive feedback, I feel twice as good about myself now!!!

MM- Chest is my big lagging part I think, but I've had MAJOR development there in the last 4 or 5 months by changing my routine. I've gone from DB benching (I workout alone at home, so I find DB's safest) 75's and 80's and now I'm up to 90's for reps, so it's starting to come along.

Anthony- There's a little loose skin around and just under my belly button but I find my hydration levels REALLY effect it. For example that pic was taken early in the morning, by late evening you can really see a paunch under my belly button. But it's really tightening up find, especially for a guy in his mid 30's.

DonnieJvilleNC- Good job yourself! We should start a "100 lbs loser club!" My most successful loses were totally diet related.. in all honesty I do VERY little cardio (once every 10 days or so, although I've done HOURS a day in the past) and haven't done any ab exercises since at least the start of the year. It's consistent weight training and DIET that works best for me.

Awesome work, just started my little weight loss project and Ill post up some pic's when Im knee deep into it. I have some of me now, and one from every year of high school... amazing how I grew. The first two years it was just size, mostly muscle.. the last few went south on me.

Built- Thanks, knowing what you look like and what you know, your comments mean a lot to me!

solarisdude45- My motivation was that I was gonna die! 2 years ago I was smoking 2 packs a day, eating 7-10 LARGE bags or chips a week, eating out everyday, and going to the emergency room with chest pains more and more often. Then I find out my wife is pregnant and start thinking that at 32 with chest pains, I was never going to see this kid grow up. Everything changed right then.

At this body fat, not very big  I stopped measurng them when I stared to seriously cut. I'm actually curling and pressing more weight during this cut than before so I think I got it right this time. (I keep waiting to go workout and not be able to lift anythig)

what is your diet like ? I'm just curious... a lot better than mine thats for sure heh

My diet is insanely strict and even more so because of my thyroid disease (I have to keep my cals much lower than the average BB'er because of my disease)

Average day goes something like this, sometimes it's more...

7- 1 cup of oats (dry measure), 1/2 cup milk, 1 scoop whey

9:30- can of tuna, whole wheat toasted English muffin

12- 1 cup brown rice. 1 scoop whey

workout

post workout- 1 scoop whey

3- 1 cup of oats (dry measure), 1/2 cup milk

5:30- 5 oz boneless skinless chicken breasts with 1/2 cup of brown rice

7- can of tuna

Geeper
06-12-2005, 02:42 PM
THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!! Makes all the tuna taste better

Excellent work. Keep it going. What is the problem with the knees?

It took me a long time to find out, I saw a surgeon a year or so ago and he said right away " You were pigeon toed as a toddler!" Apparently there were a number of ways they used to correct it, in my case they ended up creating a twist in my hips and knees. If I put my calves flat against the floor I'm still pigeon toed, but standing the legs are twists at the hips and knees so it appears as if I'm only slightly pigeon toed.

That's the basic problem and no ting but serious surgery could fix it. SO if I run out side I limp for days because my knees hurt, or if I lift real heavy with my legs by knees collapse and hurt for weeks. At close to 23 inch thighs and 16 inch calves they are FAR from chicken legs, but they just don't have a lot of strength.

This is the post i read and kinda mentioned in the start to my journal! I would give my roll of fat to look like you (--hehe-- now thats kinda funny!) All i can say is good job and props to you!
Are you finding it hard to keep the weight down?
Also I kinda feel the way you do in the fact that i've been overweight so long my calves and thighs are already a good size and hate to work them wasting time. But i know what kinda flames i'd get if i said i wasnt working them at all!
